Embracing Your True Identity

Loving Yourself and Owning The World

My life isn't all peaches and cream, like the lives of most other people. There have been many times when I've had to fight for what I wanted in my life. I believe that success and originality breeds jealousy. It is for that reason why I to avoid any type of negativity. I want only positive energy to exist in my life! I have learned to challenge the word, "no," and say "yes." I can do anything in my life that I feel passionate about or love deeply. Blogging is an outlet that is allowing me to have a voice! Even if I don't reach hundreds of people, I am just grateful for those who do get the opportunity to read my blog. Thank you for your time and I hope I've inspired you to pursue your dreams as well. I've always said that it is always better to have a few good friends than to be popular amongst the masses. One has to remember that life isn't about pleasing everyone! I will focus on myself; therefore, you should focus on yourself. What makes me happy may not make you happy, and that's fine. I believe that we all need to respect each other's differences. I am not perfect, and neither are you. So can we all just live in peace and stop fighting? If there was no fighting in the world, wars and terrorism wouldn't exist! It all starts with the people and what lies within their hearts. We need to learn how to accept and love one another. That is my greatest hope for the future of this troubled world. May we all find peace and coexist in harmony.

My 27 Dresses

From the Big Screen to Real Life

**My 27 Dresses**

This blog post topic has been on my mind for quite a while now. Today, I plan on watching "27 Dresses," the 27th movie of my February Movie Challenge. This movie is definitely one of my favorites! I love Katherine Heigl and James Marsden! They're chemistry in this movie was ever so apparent! I especially loved the scene where Jane (Heigl) tries on 27 of her bridesmaid dresses for Kevin (Marsden). That scene was so hilarious and makes me laugh each time I watch the movie! I might even say that scene is my favorite in the entire movie! lol

Hollywood Heights: California Dreaming

California:

The Vast Land of Opportunity, Intrigue, & Excitement

As a New Yorker, I've dealt with my fair share of bitter cold weather! I would now like to say that I'm completely and utterly sick of it! All I want to do is pack up my bags and leave for California! I yearn for the warmth and beautiful sunshine! California also offers all the best of television, music, movies, and breathtaking landmarks! One of my favorite shows, "Hollywood Heights," further boosted my absolute love for California. I am an avid music lover, and my love of this show is clearly evident of that fact. The cold and bitter winter season is almost over; however, I still would love to start anew in Cali! It has always been my dream to travel and view life from a different perspective. I am positive that one day, my dream will indeed come true! I have faith that God will make it happen for me in the future!

This is one of my absolute favorite songs, featured in "Hollywood Heights." Brittany Underwood (Loren Tate) and Cody Longo (Eddie Duran) are two of my favorite singers! This show was fantastic!

This song is my main mantra, to take life one day at a time! I remember these lyrics whenever I feel overwhelmed, or stressed. Cody Longo's beautiful voice always makes me feel better!

I hope to be a "California Gurl" one day! lol

Opening the World's Horizons

My Life's Greatest Accomplishments

I would first like to say that I love to teach and learn! Young children have minds that can be easily molded. It is for that reason that I plan on becoming an elementary school teacher. I want to inspire the next generation with my knowledge and words of wisdom! I honestly believe that it is our duty, as teachers, to make children aware of the infinite experiences in life. Children say the absolute sweetest things! Just today I worked with a student who told me that I was really fun! That simple statement warmed my heart, boosted my self-confidence, and made me smile! Whenever I teach, I always communicate with my student(s) utilizing solely positive words of encouragement. This allows the students to not only want to learn, but to love it as well!

I love to teach! This will be my primary goal when I have my own classroom of students!

I want my students to think of me and remember my kindness! They may forget the material that I teach them; however, they will never forget how I made them feel!

I love this quote by Mahatma Gandhi!

This is such a great poster created by BusyTeacher.org! You become so much more to your students than just their teacher! I will definitely keep this in mind and remind others of this fact!

Equal Pay, Equal Rights

A Woman's Continuous Journey to Equality

Patricia Arquette brought up a very important issue (i.e., women's rights) during her Oscars' speech this past Sunday night.

I was so inspired by her powerful words and agree wholeheartedly! As women, we should fight for equal rights! Women are equally as deserving for equal pay as men! Self-confidence and determination are two qualities all women must possess in their fight for equality! Some may think equality is an issue that simply occurred in the past; however, it is still exists today. Women like Patricia Arquette are the perfect role models for young girls today. Keep fighting ladies! We deserve it all! Never settle for less!

The Evolution of Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus: The Starlet & Songstress With The Biggest Heart

Miley Cyrus is known today, to many, as being quite radical with her choice of dress and most recent performances. I see Miley in a much different light. Yes, I do agree that she could tone it down a bit with the nudity. However, I do believe that Miley is just being Miley. As a young 22 year old, I know that she is just living her life and having fun! People have to remember that she was a child star and is in the midst of discovering her new self as an adult. I have loved Miley Cyrus' enigmatic and unique personality since  day 1! Hannah Montana was my life! lol I used to, and sometimes still do, live for anything Hannah Montana! In my opinion, Miley Cyrus is such a talented and confident individual who offers so much to the entertainment world! She has a beautiful singing voice & can act brilliantly on both television and in movies! Miley's true and genuine personality is what I love most about her! I also love that she doesn't care what anybody thinks about her and always stays true to herself! That is such an important quality one should always possess! Life isn't about pleasing everyone, and it's ok to be you! So I would just like to thank Miley Cyrus for further strengthening my self-confidence and love for music that tells a story! Rock on girl! I'm proud of ya! lol

Miley Cyrus' second appearance with Barbara Walters (2014)

This is my favorite quote by Miley Cyrus. I chose this quote as my yearbook quote back in high school.   I love this quote because it expresses the absolute truth! Life is all about learning from one's mistakes and is a never ending cycle!

Lol, this is video made me laugh hysterically!

The 2015 Academy Awards: All The Oscar Glitz & Glam!

The 87th Annual Academy Awards: Red Carpet Edition

February 22, 2015

Hello, my fellow fashion lovers! As you are well aware, it Awards Show Night, yet again! I have been watching the red carpet today starting at 1:30 p.m. on the best entertainment network, E!. E!'s "Live From the Red Carpet Special" included hosts Giuliana Rancic, Ross Matthews, Kelly Osbourne, Brad Goreski, and special guest…Khloé Kardashian! They talked with stars, discussed their dresses and famous designers, & decided whether a star was best dressed, or worst dressed. Tonight's 2015 Oscars Red Carpet was all about the women in elegant dresses and gentlemen in dapper suits! The theme for tonight's red carpet included the classic red, white, and black looks. There were other pops of color that I absolutely loved! Stars arrived in the midst of the Los Angeles rain, but shined on the red carpet! There were many fantastic looks; however, there were a few red carpet looks that raised many eyebrows! Of course, Lady Gaga was once again at the top of the worst dressed list. I mean, come on, what was up with those red firefighter gloves?! lol Did you watch tonight's red carpet special? Who were your favorite looks? Who were your least favorite looks? I'd love to hear your input on all of tonight's fashion looks! My Top 10 Picks for Best/Worst Dressed can be seen below.
